Islands
There are a number of key islands and communities to explore in Howe Sound. The most populated is Bowen which is well known for its location close to the mainland. It has a dedicated car ferry service and many permanent residents. On the other end of the spectrum, probably the least inhabited island in the sound is Anvil, rising like a jagged spire straight out of the sea floor with difficult if not impossible landings on most of its sides. They are all here for you to enjoy, all less than an hour from downtown Vancouver.
The Future of Howe Sound Society is a not-for-profit organization committed to the
conservation and stewardship of Howe Sound for current and future generations.
