Geography: Situated at the mouth of a Salmon bearing river “Furry Creek”, the community at this time, consists of the Waterfront Community of Oliver’s Landing, approximately 25 acres in size, with a mix of 56 two and three-storey Town Homes, some located on the waterfront literally steps to the beach, and the Furry Creek “Benchlands” area consisting of approximately 100 Custom-designed Single Family Detached homes.
History: Furry Creek was named in the 1870s after early prospector and settler Oliver Furry. Loggers worked the slopes, and a two adits from the Brittania Creek mine opened into Furry Creek where logging camp supplied timbers for shoring in the early 1900s.
