Deep in the fjords of Howe Sound there are many competing interests. Each of these believe to have the best possible outcomes for the land and the people who live, work and play in Howe Sound and for the most part we get along very well.
Occasionally though there are issues that come up where people are not all in agreement. These may grow campaigns for the Future of Howe Sound Society, they may not. As we become aware of the issues we will do our best to verify the information. This information usually comes to us from our coalition partners and sources within government and industry. Although that’s the normal course, its not always the case, nor is it the only way we hear about things.
To keep informed we present this campaign of all the emerging conflicts we are aware of as pertain to our mission to develop a comprehensive plan for Howe Sound.
A mere 30 minutes from downtown Vancouver, Howe Sound is a deep fjord bordered by steep coastal range mountains on the corridor from Vancouver up what is know as the Sea to Sky highway en-route to Squamish, Whistler and Pemberton.
