Stop the Large Scale Mining Operation in Howe Sound

The Future of Howe Sound Society have just been informed that Burnco has submitted their final project description and the public have until February 3rd to submit their views on this project to the Canadian Environmental Assessment Agency.

There is no long term land use plan covering Howe Sound and yet it is only now that marine life is showing signs of recovery from previous decades of industrial abuse.

We need your help and support to make it clear that the public will not sit back while Burnco strips our local resources, destroys fish habitat and takes the profits back to Alberta.  All this to create only 12 full time jobs!

If you do not make your views known, please understand this project and it’s predictable destruction in the Sound will take place unchallenged just at a time when the dolphins and whales have returned to the Sound.
