British Columbia is one of the most beautiful natural and wild places on the planet.   Few would argue.   Tourism BC would like to let the world know that its not just a few selected spots but that the province which more than 5 times larger than Texas is full of natural beauty in all sorts of places.

It couldn't have been a better day - the perfect conditions to exhibit what it is so special about this part of Howe Sound. Thank you to all that participated.

BOATERS from the North Shore are expected to be among a flotilla of more than 100 vessels converging in Howe Sound this weekend to draw attention to environmental threats to the area. The S.O.S. Save Our Sound mariner's rally - being organized by the Future of Howe Sound Society - will take place between noon and 2 p.m. on the water near McNab Creek.

While we are in the midst of further detailing our proposal for the sound, yet another assault on the lands and area that is just now emerging as key part of the Vancouver Destination is about to be lost.  The north side of Gambier may be offered to clearcut loggers.

Save Our Sound Rendezvous - Calling all Mariners.  June 30th rendezvous at McNab Creek

On Saturday, April 13th,  2013 over 130 people representing 65 various organizations attend the Future of Howe Sound Forum.  Provincial and Federal Government representatives, First Nations, industry and business associations and non-profit organizations who have a connection to the region, came together for a dialogue on moving forward with a common vision for Howe Sound.   Along with a plan to turn all of Howe Sound into a protected area, here's a visual record of the discussions that day. held at the Gleneagles Golf Course Banquet Hall in West Vancouver.
