It couldn't have been a better day - the perfect conditions to exhibit what it is so special about this part of Howe Sound. Thank you to all that participated.

The SCRD is reviewing a proposal for a hydro power project on Box Canyon Creek near McNab Creek in West Howe Sound.

BOATERS from the North Shore are expected to be among a flotilla of more than 100 vessels converging in Howe Sound this weekend to draw attention to environmental threats to the area. The S.O.S. Save Our Sound mariner's rally - being organized by the Future of Howe Sound Society - will take place between noon and 2 p.m. on the water near McNab Creek.

While we are in the midst of further detailing our proposal for the sound, yet another assault on the lands and area that is just now emerging as key part of the Vancouver Destination is about to be lost.  The north side of Gambier may be offered to clearcut loggers.

Rally to Save Howe Sound

Calling all Mariners Rendezvous on the waters of Howe Sound - Sunday, June 30th between 12 noon and 2:00 p.m.  The purpose of this event is to draw attention to the threat of long term heavy duty non-sustainable industry returning to this area.  Live Music - Monitor VHF channel 72 lower power for details.
