Sunshine Coast Regional District posts Draft Application for Information Requirements ahead of public consultation process.

Press Release -  65 Organizations connected to Howe Sound  attended the Future of Howe Sound Forum that took place on Saturday, April 13th, 2013.

The Squamish Nation has existed and prospered within its traditional territory since time immemorial.  Elder in training, Linda Williams will offer the traditional welcome.

Elected officials, Howe Sound Community Forum members that include local government, Squamish First Nation, industry and non-profit organizations met  for a dialogue on moving forward with a common vision for Howe Sound. The event took place at Gleneagles in West Vancouver on April 13, 2013.

On April 4, the SCRD’s infrastructure services committee voted to defer the Burnco application until after the environmental assessment for the project is completed.

Future of Howe Sound Society members presented to the Town of Gibsons Council asking the Council to support the concept of an overall management plan for Howe Sound.

Millions have been spent cleaning up the Sound after decades of industrial abuse. It’s paid off with a remarkable recovery. We should not allow this progress to be placed at risk. Find out more and SIGN our Petition
